Invitation to Tender
Music Network’s national music education project will begin in 2010 and operate on a phased basis to 2015.
New local or regional Music Education Partnerships will be given the opportunity to tender for funding under the scheme each year up until 2013.
Successful local/regional Music Education Partnerships will receive annual funding under this scheme for a 3-year period. Music Network will work to ensure that ongoing national funding becomes available for successful Music Education Partnerships after the current fund has been depleted.
The funding provided under this National Music Education Project is intended to subsidise the cost of teachers and local/regional administration. Applicant Music Education Partnerships must demonstrate in their tender document how they will generate matching funds locally, and how they plan to make the project sustainable in the long term.
Applications will only be accepted from local/regional partnerships involving one or more local VECs and/or local authorities. (Existing music education providers, parents groups, schools and any other organisations wishing to become involved in developing a music education service for their area are advised to contact representatives of their local authority and/or VEC, rather than developing their own independent tender proposals.)
