Description: Music Capital Scheme
Next deadline for Applications: Monday 2 November 2009, 5 pm

In June 2008 The Arts Council, The IRMA Trust and Music Network announced new supports for capital investment in music. The Music Capital Scheme is a three-year pilot project that is part of a research initiative seeking to analyse the needs for support for capital investment in music as well as the optimum ways of providing this support. In 2009, the second year of the project, The Arts Council and Music Network are offering financial support in two distinct streams that will run concurrently.

Description: Music Recording Scheme
Next deadline for Applications: 5pm, Monday 5th October

The Arts Council's Music Recording Scheme, managed by Music Network, will operate again in 2009. The aim of this scheme is to ensure that the work of Irish composers and performers is available other than in live performance, and to ensure that important or neglected materials of Irish music are preserved and disseminated to the highest professional standard. A total award fund of €71,500 is available and awards of up to €10,000 will be made.

Description: Music Network Performance and Touring Award
Next deadline for Applications: 5pm, Monday 15th February 2010

In April 2006 Music Network announced the introduction of an exciting new award, which provides support and work for professional musicians in Ireland. With funding from the Arts Council, the Performance and Touring Award has been developed by Music Network, the national music development organisation, to assist Irish and Ireland-based musicians in realising performance opportunities.

In 2010 there will be three application dates - Monday 15th February, Tuesday 8th June and Monday 4th October. The scheme is open to musicians and ensembles of all genres that are of Irish nationality or resident in Ireland.
