Music Network's outreach programmes provide an opportunity for musicians to work in participative and interactive situations with people who may or may not normally have an opportunity to engage with live music performance. The outreach programmes provide Music Network with an opportunity to reach audiences in conventional and unconventional performance scenarios.

Music Network has coordinated a range of outreach participative programmes in various scenarios including education (formal and non-formal), healthcare and audience development offering musicians experienced in outreach practices opportunities to become involved in the facilitation and implementation of these projects. In addition Music Network is regularly approached by other organisations seeking musicians with experience in outreach work for projects in their area.
