Leonard Elschenbroich Masterclasses With Young Musicians

Music Network is committed to connecting tours to music education programmes with the aim of giving children and young people rich, holistic musical experiences. Irish fiddle player Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh hosted a number of successful workshops for young musicians across the country in September and October 2014 as part of his In My Mind tour. Leonard Elschenbroich, one of the most charismatic musicians of his generation, will perform an intriguing programme of music in his nationwide tour from 19 November 2014. As part of this tour, the award-winning German cellist will host workshops for young musicians in collaboration with Music Generation Sligo and Music Generation Offaly/Westmeath.

                                         

On Friday 21 November, Elschenbroich will visit The Model, Sligo in association with Music Generation Sligo to host a masterclass with two young string quartets. The students will prepare pieces which they will then work on with Leonard. 

It's Birr Theatre, Offaly on Sunday 23 November in association with Music Generation Offaly/Westmeath. Here, two young string quartets will spend the afternoon with Leonard as he offers practical advice and insights.
