Music Capital Scheme Information Clinics

Music Network held a series of information clinics during the week of January 9th, for prospective applicants to the Music Capital Scheme 2016. The Music Capital Scheme, supported by the Department of Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs and managed by Music Network, provides funding for the purchase of musical instruments, both to non-professional performing groups, and professional performing musicians. 

The five clinics took place at Culture House, Limerick; Nun’s Island Theatre, Galway; National Concert Hall, Dublin; The Model, Sligo; and CIT Cork School of Music. As well as discussing the selection criteria, conditions of the award, and application process, attendees were invited to put forward questions / clarifications related to their application preparation. The clinics also provided a valuable networking opportunity for individual musicians and music organisations in each location.
