New Ross Piano Festival 2015

10 September 2015

Since 2006, the New Ross Piano Festival has been bringing world-class artists to Wexford for four days of music, presented by one of Music Network's partner promoters Music for New Ross.

This year, the festival runs from 24 – 27 September, with a focus on the Ros Tapestry Suite, which was launched in 2014. The suite brings together the two cultural pillars of the town – the Ros Tapestry and the New Ross Piano Festival. The Ros Tapestry is a modern-day Bayeux; embroidered by voluntary stitchers from the South East over the past 15 years. The festival has commissioned five Irish composers to re-imagine in music the second five panels of the tapestry: Linda Buckley, Deirdre Gribbin, Andrew Hamilton, Sam Perkin and Eric Sweeney.

A host of esteemed musicians will perform across the four days, including Alexei Grynyuk, Olga Scheps, Cédric Tiberghien, Daria van den Bercken, and Finghin Collins, who has been involved in many Music Network concerts in the past. The Fidelio Trio and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra complete the stellar line up.
