The Irish Times included a preview of the tour in their Easter weekend gig guide, and recordings of some of Ian Wilson's compositions were aired on RTÉ lyric fm The Blue of the Night ahead of the quartet premiering his new work 'Quattro Stagioni'.

Pat O'Kelly from the Irish Independent reviewed the opening night of the tour at St. Ann's Church, Dawson Street, and described Ian's work as "rich in instrumental colour as it moves from the tingling crispness of winter through spring's reawakening and summer's haze to autumn." The concert was also reviewed by GoldenPlec.com and the Journal of Music.

Programme Notes:

For each of our tours, we commission influential writers to add flavour to our programmes. Majella Boland compiled the programme notes for the violin quartet programme of Shchedrin, Bartók, Hermann, Telemann, Bach, Halvorsen, Bacewicz and Paganini, composer Ian Wilson supplied a programme note for his piece, 'Quattro Stagioni'.

Ian Wilson's 'Quattro Stagioni' is a 21st-century response to Vivaldi's Four Seasons, as seen through the lens of American artist Cy Twombly's major work from the 1990s of the same name.
