As part of their tour, Chloë and Danny facilitated two public masterclasses, held at Curtis Auditorium, CIT Cork School of Music and St Mary’s Church, New Ross.

For each of our tours, we commission influential writers to add flavour to our programmes. Classical journalist and reviewer Pat O'Kelly compiled the programme notes for the duo's programme of Beethoven, Prokofiev and Strauss. Irish composer Deirdre McKay supplied a programme note on her commissioned work 'a quarter million miles from the moon'.

News Round Up: Shakespeare Songs March tour

In March 2016, ‘the great English poet of the saxophone’ jazz virtuoso Andy Sheppard joined forces with drummer Christophe Marguet and pianist Guillaume de Chassy in a musical journey across Shakespeare’s world. They visited venues in Letterkenny, Castlebar, Carrick-On-Shannon, Dublin, Cork, Dun Laoghaire, Ennis, Clifden and Sligo, and hosted a demonstration and question-and-answer session for students in BIMM Dublin.

Two New Appointments to the Board of Music Generation

Music Generation has announced the appointment of two new members to its Board, Dr Don Thornhill and Martin Drury. Dr Thornhill, a former top civil servant, and a current and former board member and adviser to several organisations, will take up the role of Chairperson. Arts practitioner, policy-maker and former Arts Council Director of Strategic Development, Martin Drury also joins the Board.
