Radio interviews with Avi Avital and Ksenija Sidorova

On the first day of their nationwide Music Network tour, mandolinist Avi Avital and accordionist Ksenija Sidorova visited the studios of RTÉ lyric fm and RTÉ Radio 1 to talk about their Irish roadtrip and play some tunes.


First up was a visit to Marty in the Morning (RTÉ lyric fm) where Avi and Ksenija told presenter Marty Whelan the story of how they began playing together. Listen back to the interview (which begins at 2 hours 37 minutes) here.

Later that day, presenter Sean Rocks discussed mandolin orchestras, Latvian music and Irish composers with Avi and Ksenija for RTÉ Radio 1's daily arts show Arena. The pair also played some Bartok folk dances and a Manuel de Falla piece. Listen back to the segment here.
