Call for Applications for Making Overtures, Music Network’s Professional Development Course

Making Overtures is a professional development course that focuses on two key, non-artistic aspects of a successful career in music: self-promotion and self-management. The course is delivered by Irish and international experienced professionals addressing a range of areas including media, marketing, finance & taxations as well as local, national and international supports.
In 2010, Music Network will be offering course participants three options:
Option 1 Self-Promotion Only Mon 8 & Tues 9 Nov (9:30am – 5:30pm)
Course fee €100
Option 2 Self-Management Only Thurs 11 & Fri 12 Nov (9:30am – 5:30pm) Course fee €100
Option 3 Self-Promotion (8 & 9 Nov) & Self-Management (11 & 12 Nov) (9:30am – 5:30pm) Course fee €200
The course will take place at the Centre for Creative Practices, 15 Lower Pembroke Street, Dublin 2.
Music Network is currently seeking applications from Irish and Ireland-based professional musicians and composers interested in participating in Making Overtures. Please download the course application form and brochure here and return the completed form along with a CV/Artist History, your website/myspace/facebook details and any samples of promotional materials used on previous campaigns and the appropriate course fee.
The closing date for receipt of applications is Friday 1st October, 2010 at 5pm.
