love:live music/National Music Day Back in 2015

23 April 2014

In discussions with the key funder of the event, the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, it has been agreed that love:live music/National Music Day has reached a point in its development where a new delivery model is required, in order to fully realise its potential as a major annual cultural event. Accordingly, to allow sufficient time for National Music Day to be re-structured, we are aiming to run the next event in 2015.

Music Network will use the intervening time to review the current model, and subject to funding, establish a steering group that will develop and oversee a 5-year strategic plan for the event, create regional networks, re-define the focus and scale of the event and recruit a dedicated staff member to manage the project.

We are very grateful to those who have participated to date in making the day such a resounding success and look forward to working together with you again in 2015.
