Music Network tours provide a wonderful opportunity to see some of the world’s foremost musicians at affordable prices in venues around Ireland, and are presented in association with RTÉ lyric fm.  Music Network is funded by the Arts Council. Further information from (01) 671 9429 or www.musicnetwork.ie.
Irish audiences can look forward the enchanting and exquisite voice of Patricia Rozario, the London-based opera star and muse whose soaring soprano voice adapts itself effortlessly to ancient and modern works alike. Mumbai-born Rozario started out singing operatic music in India, but after completing her studies in London became a veritable muse to several celebrated contemporary composers including Arvo Pärt, Simon Holt and in particular Sir John Tavener, who has now written over 30 works for her. With a repertoire ranging from Baroque to contemporary works, Rozario is regarded as one of the outstanding recitalists of her generation, appearing in many of the world’s most prestigious venues alongside conductors such as Solti, Ashkenazy, Jurowski, and Gardiner.
For this tour, Rozario is accompanied by the Belfast-born pianist Michael McHale. Lauded by critics for his “faultless stylistic skill”, intense musicality and bravura playing, McHale has established himself as one of the leading Irish pianists of his generation and a champion of works outside the standard repertoire.
