Music Network Seeks Online Marketing Intern and Programme Intern

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Digital Marketing Intern and Programme Intern at Music Network to work on love:live music, Ireland’s national music day, which takes place on 20th April 2012.
Online Marketing Intern
This role will ideally suit a recent event management/arts administration graduate who is looking to develop their skills in digital marketing.
We are looking for a driven and highly motivated individual with a passion for all things digital who has the ability to work on their own initiative. Candidates must have strong communication skills, be a quick learner, and be fluent in English.
Duties (under the supervision of Music Network’s PR & Marketing Manager) will include:
• Updating website content management system
• Updating social media platforms
• Monitoring blog activity and submitting blog posts
• Email Marketing generation and tracking
• PPC campaign creation and monitoring
• Monitoring analytics and reporting
• Maintaining databases
Skills & Qualifications:
- Knowledge of music events and festivals in Ireland
- PC/IT skills – Word, Excel, Outlook
- Excellent communication skills written, telephone and interpersonal
- Good time management and attention to detail
- Ability to ability to multi task and work under pressure
- Ideally the candidate will have some knowledge of the music sector
Programme Intern
This role will ideally suit an event management/arts administration graduate who is looking to develop their skills in the area of programming and project management, however, all candidates will be considered.
We are looking for a confident and highly motivated individual with strong communication skills to assist with the co-ordination of love: live music. The Programme Intern will be a key member of the organisational team working under the supervision of the Project Manager.
Duties will include:
- Compiling research on potential participants (acts, venues etc)
- Liaising with participating organisations
- Managing the online registration of events
- Assisting in the delivery of campaign materials
- General administration tasks (updating databases, filing submissions and emails)
- A programme report based on experience as an intern
- Any other duties as required

Terms and conditions of the internships:
- The positions are unpaid, however any expenses related to carrying out the duties will be reimbursed.
- The positions require a 4 day week commitment 10am to 5pm; after hours during peak schedules may be required.
- The organisation commits to providing adequate support for carrying out the internship, including progress reviews and de-brief.
- The placements are unpaid and run for 12 weeks starting Monday 6th February.
