November 2017: Quatuor Voce
07 December 2017
Members of the string quartet facilitated string workshops in Letterkenny and Newbridge, and cello masterclasses were held in Dublin. We partnered with Donegal Music Education Partnership, Celbridge Concert Orchestra and RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra Cello Section Leader Martin Johnson to arrange the activities.
Lydia and Guillaume facilitated a string workshop with members of the Donegal Youth Orchestra at the Regional Cultural Centre ahead of the quartet’s concert there. Sarah and Cécile facilitated two string quartet workshops with members of the Celbridge Concert Orchestra at the Riverbank Arts Centre, with Orchestra members making up a large proportion of the quartet’s concert audience that evening. Finally, Lydia facilitated a cello masterclass with students of Martin Johnson ahead of the Quatuor Voce concert at the Pavilion Theatre.
