Workshops and Masterclasses

Workshops and Masterclasses
We bring world-class musicians into schools, colleges and community groups to deliver masterclasses and workshops around the country.

Our programme of masterclasses and workshops support emerging talent and encourage participation in music making, delivered as part of our National Touring Programme in partnership with schools, community groups, music schools, Music Generation Local Music Education Partnerships and conservatoires.

Recent examples include a masterclass with world renowned clarinettist Pablo Barragán for third level performance students in TU Dublin Conservatoire, a jazz workshop for students of Music Generation Kildare with acclaimed pianist Sultan Stevenson and iconic saxophonist Denys Baptiste, a workshop and performance opportunity for 5 secondary schools as part of a new commission involving teenagers by award winning composer Jennifer Walshe, and a traditional song workshop for Bluebell Community Development Project with esteemed singer/songwriter Bróna McVitie.

If you would like to find out more about how you can take part in our workshops and masterclasses please contact Sarah Ledwidge at programmesadmin@musicnetwork.ie or call 01 475 0224.
