Participants will receive tips on setting up for a recording, testing levels and exporting audio files. In addition, Mairéad will offer recommendations for equipment packages to suit all budgets
Mairéad O’Reilly is a sound engineer specialising in acoustic music. She has provided sound reinforcement for national and international concerts and festivals and has engineered live events for artists including Altan, John Martyn, Rhiannon Giddens and Townes Van Zandt. Mairéad holds a Masters in Digital Media Technologies from TU Dublin and a degree in Electronic Engineering from Cork Institute of Technology. She is also an AVID Certified Pro Tools Trainer and a member of the Audio Engineering Society. Between 2008 and 2013 she lectured on Sound Technology at the University of South Wales, before returning to Dublin to launch MÓR Sound, a dedicated voiceover and post-production studio aimed at producing high quality audio for online learning materials.
