Universal Music UK Sound Foundation is an independent music education charity, established in 1997 to celebrate the centenary of EMI Records and now generously supported by Universal Music. The Foundation’s aim is to improve access to music education in the UK and Ireland.

The Foundation accepts applications from schools and individuals towards the cost of musical instruments and equipment. It also helps school music teachers with the cost of CPD courses. Please visit the "Apply for Funding" section of the website for further information about the funding on offer, eligibility criteria, and the application schedule. The Foundation also provides bursaries through 12 music colleges and organisations, which are listed on the Foundation's website and administered internally by each college/organisation.
