The Artane School of Music, home of the Artane Band, is a community-based organisation with over 400 members attending each week for music lessons, band rehearsals or as part of the Community Choir or Senior Band. ASM offers a wide range of programmes to young children and adults in Artane, the surrounding areas and beyond.

Programmes include individual instrumental lessons, a Leaving Cert programme, and a wide range of band and choral programmes for ages 8 to 18 years, including: Intro to Band; Year 1 Band; Junior Band; Cadet Band and Concert Band; Artane Senior Band (18 years plus); Artane Community Choir (18 years plus). Members also participate in a wide range of concerts and recitals.

The organisation supplies instruments to band members for the duration of their time in the band.
