Drogheda Brass Band operates a brass band and associated school of music, including a youth band. The group performs at public and community events in the Drogheda area and beyond, and competes in band/ensemble/solo contests. Members and students are provided with instruments financed by the band mainly via community fundraising, engagement fees and membership fees.

Members and students undertake grade exams with the Royal Irish Academy of Music. Drogheda Brass Band has been National Brass Band Champion on numerous occasions.
