Foroige is a national youth development organisation working with young people aged between 10 and 18 years. The Galway City Youth Cafe project is based in Galway City Centre. This project is youth-led with a strong creative ethos, particularly in terms of music. The project runs a Thursday evening music group as well as gigs and jam sessions throughout the week. This is a targeted youth project that works with young people primarily from disadvantaged backgrounds and strives to provide opportunities, such as music lessons, that participants would not otherwise be able to access.
