Irish Guitar Academy
Irish Guitar Academy is an online learning community founded by Irish guitarist and singer Aodán Coyne. It helps adult guitarists develop practical accompaniment skills for Irish traditional tunes and songs, with a particular focus on DADGAD tuning. Members can work through structured, self-paced video lessons, tune and song tutorials, chord charts and practice resources, alongside guest workshops, recordings and a member community. The teaching focuses on rhythm, chord choices, listening and supporting the melody, helping players feel more comfortable making music with others. Tuition is available online to learners throughout Ireland and internationally. Aodán is currently based in the United States.
