This Fund helps young professional musicians under 36 years of age to buy instruments, which they could not otherwise afford, of a quality appropriate to their needs. The loan scheme provides low interest-rate loans repayable over a maximum period of five years, for instruments for use in public performance (except practice pianos and organs) to young professional musicians. The grant scheme is designed to help students and young professional musicians from the beginning of their third year of full-time study until two years after the completion of their full-time course. Preference is given to British Nationals and the Fund is particularly interested in supporting instrument makers resident in the United Kingdom. Awards are not made in respect of electric or electronically controlled instruments. Completed application forms, with references, need to reach the Secretary to the Fund one month before the next meeting of the Executive Committee of the Trustees. Please check the website for details.
