Music Network - Venue information for The Pavilion Theatre
The Theatre is located in the picturesque seaside town of Dún Laoghaire, approximately 12km south of Dublin City. You will find it along the coast, on the corner of Queen's Road & Marine Road and opposite Dún Laoghaire DART Station.
- https://apps.apple.com/ie/app/...From the city centre you can either take the N11 via Stillorgan, turn off at the Ballybrack exit and follow signs for Dún Laoghaire or you can drive the coast road via Blackrock on the R118, just stick to the coast and follow signs for Dún Laoghaire.
- If you’re heading north on the N11, turn off at the Ballybrack exit and follow the signs all the way in to Dún Laoghaire, it’s a straight run with a couple of roundabouts.
- If you are travelling by motorway take the M50, exit 16 for Cherrywood and then follow signs for Dún Laoghaire.

ESB Charge Points
Dún Laoghaire is serviced by Dublin Bus and TFI links. The terminus is located at the DART station.

Pavilion Theatre is located on the seafront in Dún Laoghaire, approximately 3 minutes' walk from bus stops and the DART station.
Travel by DART to Dún Laoghaire. This journey offers spectacular views of Dublin Bay. The DART runs every 10 to 20 minutes. We are located opposite Dún Laoghaire DART Station. The DART links up with Irish Rail at Connolly Station, as it does with the LUAS tram service.
If you want to travel to Pavilion Theatre by bicycle, there are three bike rails in close proximity to the theatre at street level. We do not have any bike rails on the upper podium. Please do not attach your bike to the handrail or the railings on the upper podium.

If you wish to book accessible seating, please contact the Box Office (boxoffice@paviliontheatre.ie) as much in advance of the show as possible. Please advise staff of all of your requirements at the time of booking and we will try to accommodate these requests.
For theatrical events, the main auditorium has the facility for 4 wheelchair spaces. 3 in row A (2 spaces on one side and 1 space on the other), which is fully accessible from the foyer, and one in row R in the balcony, which is accessed via the lift up to the 1st floor gallery. If you are making a group booking which requires more than 4 wheelchair spaces, please contact our Box Office as soon as possible.
If you would like to attend one of our cinema screenings, we can acccommodate one wheelchair on the Row R balcony, which is accessible by the lift in the foyer.
As shows begin to sell out, we will sell the accessible seats to the general public, so please give as much advance notice as possible if you wish to book these seats.

Accessible Toilet Facilities
Pavilion Theatre has accessible toilet facilities in the foyer area to the left of the Box Office. Please Note: there are no toilet facilities on our upper level.
Our accessible toilet is fitted with an alarmed Red Cord. If any customer requires assistance in the toilet, they can pull this cord and it will emit a small beep that will alert staff. This cord should always be left hanging freely to the floor. If you notice that it has been moved, please inform a member of staff immediately.
While Pavilion doesn't have a Changing Places toilet, there is one located in the LexIcon Library nearby. See this link for opening times and more information.
Pavilion Theatre is currently striving to upgrade the facilities to cater for all wheelchair sizes and access needs, please bear with us while these changes are being planned.

Ramp
There is step-free access to the theatre via a ramp located on Marine Road. This also allows for step-free access straight into our auditorium.
Lift Facilities
Please note: the maximum weight capacity of the lift is 500kg / 6 persons. To use the lift, push and hold the button until the door opens. This is an automatic door; please do not pull or push it.

Assistive Listening
Loop System at Box Office: We have a hearing loop installed at our Box Office. Please switch your hearing device to the T position in order to use the system.
Assistive Listening System in the Auditorium: We have an Assistive Listening system in our auditorium that operates via the MobileConnect app using a smartphone and headphones.
You can download the "MobileConnect" app for free in order to use this system on your own smartphone.

Guide/Assistance Dogs
Guide/assistance dogs are welcome at Pavilion Theatre. Please note that if you are attending an event with a guide/assistance dog the best seats to book are in either row A, R or S. If these seats are not available when you are trying to book online, please contact our Box Office.
We can offer a water bowl for the dog, if requested. Please feel free to contact Box Office in order for staff to be prepared to welcome you and your service animal on the night - boxoffice@paviliontheatre.ie
Carer & Concession Tickets
Pavilion Theatre recognise and acknowledge people's differences and support them with their individual needs. Concession tickets and carer tickets may be available on certain performances for those with additional needs. To enquire about these tickets, you will need to call Box Office on 01 231 2929; a formal carer's card may be requested to avail of these tickets.
Early Entry and Courtesy Seating Area
We operate an early entry service for any of our customers who would like to enter the auditorium before we open the doors for the main audience. Please identify yourself at Box Office at least 30 minutes before the show and the Duty Manager can arrange this.
While you wait, we have some benches in our foyer that are designated as Courtesy Seating Areas for those who are less able to stand.

Use of Strobe Lighting / Stroboscopic Lighting and Other Stage Effects
Strobe lighting, lighting that produces stroboscopic effects, smoke machines and other theatrical effects may be used during some of our shows.
If you are affected by any of these effects, please contact the Box Office in advance of purchasing your tickets and we can advise you if they are being used.
Baby Changing Facilities
There is a baby changing fold down table located in our accessible toilet near Box Office.
Buggies, Pushchairs & Carrier Seats
Please note that buggies, pushchairs and child carrier seats are not permitted in the auditorium of Pavilion Theatre for health and safety reasons. We can store your buggy, pushchair or carrier seat in our foyer area. There will be a member of staff in the foyer at all times.

The images on our website have alternative text attached to them. This alternative text is read by screen readers in place of images, allowing the content and function of the image to be accessible to those with visual or certain cognitive disabilities.

Accessible and Relaxed Performances
Pavilion Theatre occasionally has accessible performances throughout the year. In the past, we have had audio description, surtitles, Irish Sign Language interpretation and relaxed performances on select shows. Keep an eye on our website for more details or contact our Box Office to learn more.
