Dave Flynn dlr Musician-in-Residence: Week 4

Dave Flynn dlr Musician-in-Residence: Week 4
Composer/guitarist Dave Flynn's fourth weekly update as dlr Musician-in-Residence.

This week Dave gives an update on the first movement of his new composition Dún Laoghaire Guitars, explaining how he plans to use musical effects on the guitars to capture the "natural symphony" of the sounds of Dún Laoghaire harbour.

Dave's Guitar Heroes Playlist this week is "Classical Guitars" and features his favourite classical guitarists and some favourite classical guitar pieces, followed by some thoughts on each guitarist.

"When I was about 14 or 15 I started listening to a tape my Mum owned of the guitarist John Williams called "Guitar Music from Spain, England, Japan, Mexico & South America". Hearing John Williams play so beautifully inspired me to begin a lifelong journey with classical music." Dave Flynn
