This week Dave chats about traditional Irish music and how he has adapted it for guitar. Dave also talks about the traditional guitarists who have influenced him along the way.
Dave's Guitar Heroes Playlist and blog, "Celtic Guitars" features his favourite Irish traditional guitarists along with some of his favourite traditional guitar pieces.
"My Mum spoke often about how much she enjoyed Andy Irvine's songs with Planxty, so one year, for her birthday I bought her a tape of Andy Irvine and Paul Brady's classic album. I ended up listening to it a lot more than she did!" Dave Flynn
Dave Flynn's Residency will culminate on Thursday 30 July at 7pm with the online premiere of the new work Dún Laoghaire Guitars created during the Residency.
