Linda Fredriksson has quickly become one of the brightest saxophonists and jazz musicians in Finland. The debut album Juniper, released in 2021, captured the hearts of both critics and the public. They have previously become known as a flamboyant improviser and adaptable musician in several leading bands such as Mopo, Ricky-Tick Big Band and Superposition, and their rich and unique approach to music has also made them an internationally recognised top name in Finnish jazz.

Fredriksson started their studies with alto saxophone at the age of 9 at the Helsinki Pop & Jazz Conservatory. Since then, they have majored in jazz saxophone at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and graduated from the Sibelius Academy in 2014. Linda Fredriksson's instruments include alto and baritone saxophone, flute and bass clarinet.

They have composed music for theatre, films and performance artworks and has performed on a wide scale: Timo Lassy, Raoul Björkenheim, Ultra Bra, Pyhimys, Jimi Tenor, The Valkyrians, The Northern Governors, Niillas Holmberg and the European Jazz Orchestra are just a few of his collaborators over the years.

Fredriksson's recognitions include the Kritiikin Kannukset award from the Association of Finnish Critics for the year's significant artistic breakthrough in 2013, the prestigious DownBeat magazine's Rising Star Baritone Saxophone listings for four consecutive years from 2016 to 2019, Pori Jazz's Ted Curson award in 2019 and the Freelance musicians' scholarship for significant work in the freelance music industry in 2019. In 2022, their debut solo album Juniper was awarded the Emma Award for the Best Jazz Album of the Year and the prestigious Teosto Award which is one of the biggest art awards in the Nordic countries.
