Applications for the Music Capital Scheme 2026 are now open. Our range of supports is designed to help you make your application with a particular focus on supporting first time and previously unsuccessful applicants.
Organisations applying to Award 1 must supply details of the organisation’s structure and governance, with reference to the group’s constitution or governance document.
Do you need to create a governance document, or refresh your existing document? Would you like more clarity on how to define the roles and responsibilities of your members, or require advice on which legal structure will best serve your purpose?
This seminar, delivered by leading governance consultant Catriona Hogan, will guide organisations through the process of creating a clear and useful governance document.
About Catriona Hogan
Catriona has over twenty-five years’ experience of working in the nonprofit / charity sector and has managed local, regional and national organisations. A graduate of UCC, University of Pisa and School of Philanthropy Indiana University, Catriona has reported to Boards as a senior staff member and as a CEO. She has provided professional advice to Boards nationally and internationally and is a judge for the past three years of the National Good Governance awards and is currently judging the 2026 entries.
Catriona has a vast range of experience, from the small local volunteer led groups to national organisations such as Charities Institute Ireland. In 2018 Catriona completed a review of Charities Institute Ireland Good Practice Certificate course. In 2017 she wrote in collaboration with Mason Hayes & Curran the Charities Institute Ireland Fundraising Codes of Good Practice. She has also facilitated many training programmes on behalf of Charities Institute Ireland and the Department of Justice. She was a member of the implementation group for the Statement of Guiding Principles for Fundraising. She has provided training for The Wheel.
Catriona was a trustee of Suicide or Survive, a volunteer with the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind and a committee member of Cork Chamber of Commerce. In more recent times Catriona was a trustee (parent representative) of the Board of Scoil Na Nog in Co Cork and currently sits on the Board of the Everyman Theatre in Cork and Chairs their governance and risk committee.
Music Capital Scheme 2026
The Music Capital Scheme, which is supported by the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport and provides funding for the purchase of musical instruments to individual professional musicians and non-professional groups across the country.
