Applications for the Music Capital Scheme 2025 are now open. Our range of supports is designed to help you make your application with a particular focus on supporting first time and previously unsuccessful applicants.

Musicians applying to Award 2 or Award 3 must demonstrate clearly and concisely their musical background, future plans and need for the proposed item(s) for purchase.

Would you like to receive guidance on how to write clearly and persuasively, and how to present your achievements and musical goals with the selection criteria in mind?

This seminar, delivered by leading arts manager Grace Toland, will support musicians in presenting themselves in the best light and making a persuasive argument for support.

About Grace Toland

Grace Toland is a traditional arts organiser, and singer based in the Inishowen Peninsula, Co. Donegal. Her career with the Inishowen Traditional Singers' Circle, and as former Director of the Irish Traditional Music Archive, has afforded her the experience of applying for a range of funding opportunities, nationally and internationally, and also of assessing applications for grant funding. Grace will present hands-on practical advice to support Music Capital Scheme Applicants navigate the Music Network application guidelines and application form, in order to present their funding case as clearly and positively as possible.

Please note, one-to-one sessions are limited and priority will go to first time and previously unsuccessful applicants. Attending a support session is not a guarantee of funding.

Music Capital Scheme 2025

The Music Capital Scheme, which is supported by the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport, provides funding for the purchase of musical instruments to individual professional musicians and non-professional groups across the country.
