Inclusive music workshops for adults at the Clonakilty Resource Centre

Dylan Howe (Hánt)
Join acclaimed musicians Jim Murray and Dylan Howe for a series of free, inclusive music workshops at the Clonakilty Resource Centre!

These three relaxed workshops are specially designed for autistic adults. No previous musical experience is necessary, and you don’t need a formal diagnosis of autism - anyone who identifies themselves as autistic is warmly welcome to take part.

Throughout the workshops, Jim and Dylan will explore responses to sound, melody and rhythm, supporting participants to connect with music in ways that they feel comfortable.

Come along and join us to make some music!

These workshops are presented in association with Music Network and the Ionad Cultúrtha Musician-in-Residence programme - an opportunity created specifically for a professional musician with autism/autistic musician. Dylan Howe (known as Hánt) was appointed as the Musician-in-Residence earlier this year.

Through the residency Music Network along with its partners, are also seeking to create the conditions to influence social change in the music sector in general and hopes to gain knowledge on how autistic people/people with autism can be better included and facilitated both in its own programmes and in the wider sector, whether in performance or educational environments.

This programme is presented by Music Network in partnership with Ionad Cultúrtha, supported by the Arts Council, Ealaín na Gaeltachta and Cork Education and Training Board.
