Dylan Howe (Hánt) was appointed as Musician-in-Residence by Music Network and Ionad Cultúrtha in Baile Mhúirne for their residency specifically for a professional musician who is autistic/a person with autism earlier this year.
This programme is presented by Music Network in partnership with Ionad Cultúrtha, supported by the Arts Council, Ealaín na Gaeltachta and Cork Education and Training Board.

Hánt is a seasoned songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, his talent spans across guitar, piano, trumpet, saxophone and any other instrument he can get his hands on, creating a sound that is both raw and profoundly genuine.

Having spent years performing worldwide with a variety of artists, Hánt brings his songwriting back to its simplest form, relying on emotional intuition and honesty. His impressionistic textures, paired with his soaring voice, invite listeners on a journey through some of his most personal and heartfelt work to date.

Hánt's debut release garnered significant attention, featuring prominently on RTÉ Radio 1 and named as Track Of The Day by HotPress magazine. Following a successful European tour with Pa Sheehy, Hánt released the evocative track I Stand Beside The Light.

Since then, he has continued to perform regularly around the UK and Ireland, creating an intimate space for his music to thrive and connect deeply with audiences. His debut EP Is This As Far As We Go? was set to be released in September 2025 at the Sounds From A Safe Harbour Festival in Cork.
